Hosting and transparency

Public rooms and their host

Sinter hosts posts and comments supplied by members in public rooms. Anyone can read them without signing in. The operator and support contact appear above when available. Sinter hosts these conversations and handles moderation and content notices. See our privacy notice for data hosting details.

What the room markers mean

“Public room” describes visibility. “Hosted by Sinter” identifies the service hosting the conversation. These labels do not certify a member, endorse a post, or guarantee that content has been checked or is safe. The community owner runs the room day to day; Sinter moderators review reports. The About tab lists the owner when available.

Rules, moderation and review

Read the Terms and Community guidelines for content rules and how decisions are handled. The trust and moderation explanation describes automated rules, restrictions and human review. Find decisions and appeals in Settings under Decisions and appeals. For a review request or difficulty using these controls, contact support with the content URL and any case reference. An appeal does not itself restore content.

Notify Sinter about illegal content

Use Report illegal content without an account and follow the steps.

Transparency information

A room's About tab shows its community moderation summary when available, with recorded decisions by month and type without naming members. Loading failures and an empty record are displayed explicitly. This summary is not a platform-wide Digital Services Act transparency report. No such report is published on this page, and these markers make no claim of DSA certification or legal compliance.
