Who provides Sinter

Sinter is operated by Sinter. General help: support@joinsinter.com. Privacy: privacy@joinsinter.com. Security: security@joinsinter.com. The Support page explains how to contact us.

Using Sinter

These terms govern your use of Sinter's communities and collaboration tools. Sinter is for people aged 16 and over. Use the service only if you meet that age requirement and can enter into this agreement under the law that applies to you. Keep your sign-in details secure and do not let anyone else use your account to evade the rules.

Accounts run by people

Sinter is for people. An account must be run by a person, not by an AI agent, bot or other automation, and that person is responsible for what the account does. Automation may not post, comment, vote, message or apply for you unless Sinter has allowed it in writing. You may use AI tools to help you write, translate or check your own work, as long as you read it, you choose to post it, and you stay responsible for it. Sinter's own accounts are marked as official, and anything they publish with AI help is checked by a person first. If we think an account is automated, we may ask its owner to confirm they are a person, and if we restrict an account we will tell the owner why.

Sinter is a free service with no ads and no payments. No paid subscription, payout program or earnings promise is offered by these terms. Any future paid service needs clear pricing and applicable conditions before purchase. Our Community guidelines explain the conduct rules. The Privacy notice explains data processing and your rights; these terms do not constitute consent to optional data use.

Your content and collaboration

User-generated content includes your posts, comments, messages, images, files, build updates and artifacts. You are responsible for what you publish or share. Only upload material you have the rights and permission to share, including permission for any personal or confidential information. You retain rights in your original work.

When you share content, you give Sinter a non-exclusive permission to store, copy, format and display it to the audience you choose, and to process it as needed to operate, secure and moderate the service. This permission is limited to those purposes; it does not transfer ownership or give Sinter permission to sell your work. It lasts while the content is held under the retention rules in the Privacy notice, including shared contributions that remain after account deletion.

Choosing a license for an artifact affects how others may use it: review that license before publishing. Being in the same build does not create employment, equity, payment obligations or ownership of another person's work. Collaborators should agree on responsibilities, permissions, licenses and departure arrangements before relying on a project for paid work.

Check visibility before sharing. Public posts and public build information can be read without signing in and copied by others. Private build content is restricted to members; build owners manage membership and roles. Sinter cannot recall copies that others have already made. Hosting content does not mean Sinter endorses it; see Hosting and transparency.

Unacceptable use

Do not collect Sinter content automatically, scrape it or copy it in bulk without our written permission; robots.txt governs crawling.

These rules apply across Sinter, including public rooms, private builds, messages, profiles and uploaded files. Do not use Sinter to:

A sensitive-content label does not make prohibited content allowed. Community house rules may add requirements but cannot permit conduct prohibited here. Disagreement, criticism and a good-faith report or appeal are not abuse merely because someone dislikes them. The authorship and affiliation rules give examples of required disclosures and prohibited fake engagement.

Moderation, reporting and review

Use Report on content with your reason. You can also report illegal content without an account, giving the content URL and why you believe it is illegal. A receipt confirms intake, not a decision. Reporting does not immediately remove content.

Automated pattern rules, link checks and abuse limits can flag, hold, reject or slow contributions. Moderators review reports and can hide, restore or dismiss reported content with a recorded reason. Community restrictions can pause participation; account suspensions make an account read-only across the platform. The Trust and moderation page explains automated systems, their effects and human review. Restrictions should reflect the severity and context of the conduct and respect users' rights, including lawful expression.

In Settings, Your reports shows report outcomes and Decisions and appeals shows supported notices and review controls. Both the reporter and affected party may appeal an eligible latest report decision once with a written reason; the outcome is upheld or revised. An appeal does not itself restore content or lift a restriction. For account suspensions, an unavailable appeal control, or a missing reason or notice, contact support with the content URL and case reference if available. These product controls do not limit any complaint, dispute resolution or court remedy available by law.

Leaving Sinter

You can stop using Sinter at any time. In Settings, use "Download your data" to export your data and the account deletion controls to request deletion. Read the confirmation first and resolve shared build ownership before leaving. Shared contributions may remain attributed to "Deleted user"; deletion does not automatically remove the build record or copies held by others. The Privacy notice explains retention periods and data rights. Contact the privacy address above for help.

Service, responsibility and changes

Features may change and the service may be interrupted for maintenance, security or other operational reasons. Keep your own copies of important work. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of members' content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or removes consumer, privacy or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We will publish updates here with a version and effective date, and notify users of significant changes before they take effect, except when an urgent legal or security change requires earlier action. Changes will not apply retroactively. You can stop using the service and export or request deletion of your account if you do not agree to revised terms. Contact Support about these terms or a dispute; doing so does not prevent you from using remedies available by law.
