Rep, badges, muting and blocking
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Rep
Rep is one number that grows when people like your posts and comments, thank your work, and when a build you finished is confirmed. Click Rep on any public profile to see the three parts: builds, thanks and likes. Only you see who thanked you. Rep never gives anyone more say inside a build. There is no leaderboard.
What a finished build is
The owner presses Finish and pins an outcome that people outside the build can open, such as a file, link or photo. The build must be at least 14 days old, with updates on at least 3 different days. Everyone credited confirms their part; solo builds are allowed and count about half. The outcome must stay public through a 14-day wait, and at most 3 finished builds are credited per person per 90 days. Rep from finished builds starts counting when the first builds qualify; until then it is 0 for everyone.
Founding member
The first 100 real people who verify their email and take one real action (a post, comment or build update) before 31 December 2026 get a permanent Founding badge. It closes at 100 people or on that date, whichever comes first. It gives no perks and no extra power. It is never offered again.
Mute
You stop seeing that person's posts, comments and notifications. They are not told and nothing changes for them.
Block
Block includes mute, and they also cannot message you, request a chat or follow you. They are not told. Your public posts stay visible to them because Sinter is a public place.
Silencing a chat or group
Silencing a chat or group only stops that conversation's notifications. It does not mute or block anyone.
